Britain’s Youngest Drag Queen

Most kids’ hobbies range from playing football to making silly videos for YouTube. But not flamboyant Redvers Stokes, who at the tender age of 12 has picked a slightly more unique pastime – slipping into his mum’s clothes to perform as a drag queen. And the schoolboy, whose drag persona is Naughty Nora, is already showing great promise, as he has been crowned the country’s youngest drag queen.

Redvers, from Sticker, Cornwall, has been sporting slinky dresses and tottering about in high heels even before he went to primary school. He said: ‘I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it; I think it’s really funny. ‘I might like dressing up in women’s clothes but I still like girls. It’s just a little hobby of mine.’ Read on…

  1. Bah..
Look at that smile of the parents into the camera. They should stop abusing their son to get in the papers.

  2. ROTFLMAO!!!
The article reads: “(he) beat off stiff competition from other locals…”
i LOVE that line, “…beat off stiff competition…”

    “What do you think?”

  3. proud parents, which assist her son, nothing more.
But he is the star, not the parents. BTW, “Naughty Nora” looks nice. one video of her would be great.

    1. The kid is the star but open minded parents like this are worth mention as they are so rare.

      1. Nice point. I would hope that supportive parents for this type of thing are on the rise, but I don’t know of any survey / study that quantifies it. Do you? Thanks, take cares.

  4. This from his parents, “he’s a really good little singer and just a normal boy. He doesn’t dress up in womens clothes as a hobby as stated, just entered the competition and won on the spur of the moment.”

  5. Fascinating story. My worry is whether the rest of the community will be as understanding as his parents obviously are. This is one brave lad to take on such a hobby at his young age. I see nothing wrong with his curious fascination with wearing women’s clothes, but
I fear there are many others who will be quite eager
to victimize him. I wish him well.
