I agree with you Ivan, but when both the Congress, and the various News Channels insist that ONLY their ideas are Correct, this is what we get!
I stopped watching the News a couple of years ago because the flagrant one-sided view, Left or Right, became so aggravating, I found myself shouting at the TV. LOL
Now I just watch Comedy Central for my News. Much better, and I just laugh at the TV!!!

If Christians believe God put and created every one on this planet……Then he created Homosexual people……If they argue that he didn’t then the only other option for them to say is that they evolved through time…..But they disbelieve evolution? …… Also where does it say in the 10 commandments or The Bible …… that Gay marriage or homosexuality is wrong ??????? …… Why would God create something he doesn’t want on this planet???…… So why do extreme Christians have the right to say what is right or wrong???? ….. For them homosexuality is not something that’s part of you, but a sin you commit, just like stealing, killing or telling lies. They believe God created people, and then some people do bad things and refuse to repent and do things properly.
And yes, the Bible says homosexuality is a sin, just like eating seafood, working seven days a week or tattoos. The Bible does also say things like genocide or slavery are fine. Jesus never talks about homosexuality, though, so even if it is a sin he doesn’t seem to care much about that topic in particular, definitely not as obsessively as “modern” “Christians”.
And don’t tell me Jesus didn’t know about gays since they hadn’t been invented yet, because he lived in a province of the Roman Empire, and it was kind of hard not to notice homosexuality in that circumstances.

In fact, there are many passages from the New testament that can be interpreted as in favour of acceptance of gay people :
“For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” (Mt 19:12) (modern scholar works show that gays were often called eunuchs in Antiquity)
“But the voice spoke again: “Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.”" (Acts 10:15) (Gayness is obviously part of God’s creation, as it is no choice, so should you really be so prompt to condemn it ?)
In the Old Testament, the story of David and Jonathan show some homoeroticism, though most religious officials would refuse to see it. (Should they read the Bible ? “Whoever has ears, let them hear” – Mt 13:9)
To finish, we can let Jesus speak about religious leaders:
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former”
As an atheist but former Christian, I think Christians should start reading their holy book with no hate in mind before judging their neighbour – the world could be a so much better place then.

The only reason christians and other idiotic religious say that homosexuality is any “sin” is simply because they are too fucking stupid to understand the laws of nature (which supersedes any “deity” bullshit they can think up). And that is [scientific] fact.

Thomas,thanks for your information about the New Testament Book. I have found that reading the Bible can be very confusing,plus a bit boring. People have a habit of reading what they want to read out of the Bible. If your a reader you might like The Killing Of Lincoln. You may not agree with the authors views,but the book is very good. It’s written as a mystery,but all of it is factual.

I believe that my out look on this is better then your statement,[if the “big Bang” started everything,then this earth well go out in a Big Bang,as well. Michael it makes me really happy to see that there are non-idiot religious people too. Even though I’m a kind of atheist I still can’t say I don’t believe in God at all. Actually the Big Bang theory is not really far from the theory of The Creation. The bible was written many years ago, and people had thought differently then. You can’t even understand how your grandparents think; imagine how differently could people think 2000 years ago.You get It I think. All I want to say with this is that God can exist some way and science does not deny his existence.
But I personally believe IF God exists, there is a really good chance that he is not as good and merciful as it is shown in the Bible. Just imagine that you have chickens at a farm. And you feed those chickens. You protect them and try to save them. If one of them is hurting the others you may punish it. (By locking it up some other place where it can’t hurt the others) You do a lot of good stuff to them. You are the creator. You are the one they don’t know bigger and more powerful. You protect them from the evil (wolf), you punish their sins … etc. But we all know you don’t do this because you are so good. You raise them to eat them later. Even though anything you do seems to be very good from their point of view. I think we might should consider the possibility of god having a purpose with the creation, even if it is his own entertainment. And I really doubt god would even care about homosexuality.
