Ladyboy Got Talent
When you think about Asian talent shows you’ll probably expect the usual Wunderkinder over and over again but Thailand has its very own treats: In the current season of Thailand’s got Talent a certain ladyboy impressed both the jury and the audience with her ability to switch between a female and a male voice within the same song. “That was the worst singing I have ever heard… But I’d still hit it.” Thai version of Simon Cowell

^-^ If “ladyboy” can change the vocals between words that are slightly closer together, then there is definately a very wow factor.
I was impressed that there was an inclusion of the male hitting a high pitch though.

She has wonderful control of her falsetto! It really worked well because BOTH voices were superb.
I wonder if anyone like her would ever make it to the finals in a “more conservative country”?

Not in this country.

Watch the subtitled version where she says her father use to beat her. I admire her courage, and the audience loves her.

I love alternating between high and deep voice when singing, it makes me feel so free, I can’t explain, but it’s kind of unique a feeling. I would never do it in public, though. Most people still find disturbing that a man can sing with a high voice, except for professional singers.
This ladyboy has a beautiful voice, in both male and female pitch.

@ Thomas
I really enjoy your post as I also appreciate such ability. Have you seen any videos about Vitas? Just look up the russian singer with the crazy voice. This guy can really soar in a range that is not of this world. And then there is the russian boy treble singer Eugeny who performs The World is Stone. That kid will bring tears to your eyes. Look them up. Enjoy.
