School Ban – After reading the article it seems to be a bit…Over reactionary.
One administrator, told one student that one shirt was inappropriate. She even said in the following “Pride Week” that she was never punished for anything she wore, and only “heard about” reprimands.
Whats the news here?

Israel: It’s a Jewish state. Unique among all states. Get over it.
Moscow: Russia’s last elections show once again the country’s on the road to totalitarianism. All minorities will be persecuted. Get used to it.
Filipino: If first you don’t succeed…
Judge Tracy: He’s a liberal Democrat activist – that trumps and negates his qualifications. If he was just gay, nobody would care. Relax – he’ll get confirmed next try anyway.
School: Can we please have school uniforms?
UK Snoopers: Off with their heads!
UN Critics: The UN, a mutual admiration society for ruthless third world dictators and failed Old World socialists, is not qualified to criticze any country for anything. Ignore the UN and maybe it will go away.
Texas Solitary: Note to the ACLU – Don’t mess with Texas.
London: Stay Calm And Carry On…and don’t break the law.
Texas Executions: Don’t mess with Texas.

Oh, I thought being openly gay and being a liberal activist were more or less the same thing!

B.S. Russia is much further from totalitarianism than USA ( that having 4% of world population have 25% of world prison population) and UK ( that has more police surveillance cameras than all other European countries together)

While I quite understand the desire to keep Israel an essentially Jewish state, I do wish they could do this without adopting illiberal policies. Not having the right to marry someone of a different religious background seems to me somewhat oppressive.

Josh, So no news link here about ‘The UK is the most gay friendly country in Europe.’ It would be refreshing to read about some of the positive statistics in your periodical posts.
You barely ever mention any links about the climate of your own German domestic sexual politics scene. I for one would genuinely be interested to read them.
But good on you for gathering up all the links. I find it all too much work and time consuming.
Dee.

The ranking was a bit ridiculous, the UK doesn’t even have gay marriage and Germany which was on the 2nd place, doesn’t have gay marriage or gay adoption, yet it was ranked higher than countries which have both (Canada, Sweden, Netherlands).

As for German news: I try but it’s hard finding anything in English.

I don’t care about gay marriage and gay adoption. To me, marriage is bondage and being saddled with kids is a kind of slavery.
I just want to have plenty of easy sex with lots of beautiful boys.
Good for you but that doesn’t have anything to do with civil rights.
So fighting for slavery and bondage is? You’re on the wrong side of the bars Josh. Marriage, and adoption are archaic and outdated institutions, invented by the church and state, to keep us enslaved.
Yeah, being allowed to visit the person you love (like straight people) in the hospital sure sounds like slavery. Or getting a pension (like straight people) when he/she dies. Or having kids.
Not even to mention that it’s not just about marriage itself, it’s about making it clear for future generations that loving someone of the same sex doesn’t make you less of a human. Which is an important part of stopping things like anti-gay bullying.
But you go on about “slavery”, that will make you sound reasonable
about 1 year ago
Those rights you list should be available to any people that a person so designates, not only to those who are married. Don’t you believe in these freedoms for all?
Loving one person to the exclusion of all others regardless of sex is repressive and regressive. But if you want to grovel at the feet of the state and church for crumbs they toss to you, then go ahead.
These comments don’t sound at all like Josh replying here. Curious.

Marriage existed for million years before states and churches. And will exist forever, when states disappear, because it is a part of human nature not some sort of “social construct” ( I don’t think churches will disappear, as long as they remain voluntary institutions.)
“Loving one person to the exclusion of all others is repressive and regressive.” I’m speechless. If there would be an award for “the stupidest statement of the year” you definitely deserve it.
You’re just making up facts (actually fantasies) out of thin air Sajhak.
The statement on the love of one person to the exclusion of others is a quote from Nietzsche, one of Josh’s favorite philosophers. Ta-ta.
Which facts I make up out of thin air? That marriage existed long-long before states and churches? It’s not thin air, it’s ABC’s of anthropology.
And yes, I know, I’m not Josh’s favourite philosopher, in no way. But when he ( or anybody else) is right he is right, when he ( or anybody else) is wrong he is wrong. I’m not a silly fan of Chelsea or J.Bieber, of “love it or leave it” style.
About Nietzsche, he was quite a crazy guy. I think he had some natural LSD in his head ( like Bosch, Platonov, Van Gogh, and Syd Barrett). Some of his insights were of genius, some were awful ( why Nazi’s liked him), some were just stupid and meaningless (your quote lies in this drawer).

I would have thought the right thing to do is to give a summary with a warning that the text behind the link is in German. There are plenty of us here who can read languages besides English.

It does not seem oppressive — It is oppressive.
It is not this ‘day and age’ — It has always been oppressive.
The world is slowly but surely moving towards ‘One World’ and there is no room or excuse for any person of any nationality or creed to foist oppression upon another.
Religion is just another mechanism for population control. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are the three worst perpetrators of atrocity against humanity. Nothing has changed.
Accept a purely Jewish State?
No! Never!
It is a mistake to have an outlook so liberal and accepting that you willingly smile and give utter bastards a pat on the back.
What’s next? A Milkboys birthday card to be sent to the Pope?

Jews will argue that since they have been persecuted throughout history while they were on other people’s territory, they have a right to their own state, where they can defend themselves. If the population of Israel ends up with a non-Jewish majority, the Jews will start being persecuted all over again.

With the obvious exception of Hitler and his regime, the only reason the “jews” have been “persecuted” is the same reason other religious groups have been “persecuted” — forcefully spreading that [their] bullshit religion on any others they are nearby.
While I have sympathy of what happened to them (en masse) because of Hitler and his cronies, that’s it. They didn’t deserve that mass incarceration and killing, for sure, as no singular group of people deserve that.
Stop their forceful religious oppression with lies and bullshit on others, and they will stop being “persecuted.” (And that goes for ALL religions.)
A factual reminder: the jews stolethat land they call “Israel — and forcedothers off of it just for their religious oppression.
Another reminder: “jews” are nota separate “race” of people — they are Caucasians just as other [whites] are — no matter how much they desperately want/”need” you to “believe” that.

I believe Judaism stopped being a proselytising religion around the time Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire. Like you, I find little to choose between them, but from that time the Jews kept to themselves and Christians, who now had the upper hand, could not abide to have them in their midst.

Race in humans is a hard concept; some anthropologists believe it has scientific value and others do not. Anyway, for what it’s worth, European Jews look European, Indian Jews Indian, Chinese Jews Chinese etc.

“I believe Judaism stopped being a proselytising religion around the time Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire. … but from that time the Jews kept to themselves …”
You don’t know jack shit about religion. NONE of them have “stopped” proselytising and ALL of them are doing it even more today — they’re so afraid of “losing their flock” because the truth is getting out even more today because of communication like the Internet. See my post below if you think they’re (any of them) are “NOT proselytising” (even though that link is for an extremist part of them) — ALL of them do it.
The entire construct of a “human race” is the primary difference of genetic & physical “characteristics.” PERIOD. “Religion” is NOT a RACE criteria. PERIOD. Jews are nothing more than being of a religious cult — there’s nothing physical or genetically different from Caucasians. And as far as “Indian Jews or Chinese Jews (or even black jews)” are concerned, they are just part of that RELIGIOUS CULT — NOT race.

Sorry about the quote and spacing errors above. :-)
Here’s just the latest attempt into forcing the masses to their ideas of stupidity (banning the Internet):
http://gizmodo.com/5911984/the-religious-extremists-who-want-to-ban-the-internet
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwV0t4729pk&
This and all their other ways are for the eventual world theocracy — I wouldn’t be surprised within the next 30-40 years, there will be a major religious war between 2 of them and the 3rd just waiting to “mop up” the remains for their total control. This is no exaggeration, trust me. Stupidity will go to the ends of this Earth [literally] for their total domination.

Well yes, I’d read about that. The black-hat brigade are not popular in Israel either. Elsewhere they are a small minority within a small minority, so why take them so seriously?
I think you can rest easy: religion is on the wane, though there does seem to be a resurgence of political Islam, which, I hope, will be short-lived.

The land was not stolen by the Jews, but by the Arabs. Palestine was a British Mandate by right of conquest, confirmed by the League of Nations, and in accordance with the intentions of His Britannic Majesty’s government expressed in the Balfour Declaration, Palestine was drawn to accomodate both a restored Israel and a Palestinian state – the final allocation was at the discretion of George VI, Dei Gratia, Rex Britannia, Imperator India Fidei Defensor.
In 1948, the area allocated to the Palestinian people for their state, and the only time in all of history when they had been granted such consideration, (Gaza and the West Bank), was overrun, occupied and ruled by Egypt and Jordan, until 1967 when it was liberated by Israel, and subsequently restored to its intended owners – the Palestinians, where it remains today. The existence of Palestinian authority & autonomy to any degree whatsoever is solely the result of Israeli military success, without which Gaza and the West bank would still be held by Egypt and Jordan, and the Palestinian people would still be in refugee camps.

Usual crap. Read some facts (from all sides of the political spectrum) and you might have a grasp if you open your mind.
