  1. Anti-gay American Christian groups colonizing Africa

I’ve said time and time again that homosexuality is:

    1. the absolute proof for the non-existence of any “god” [along with evolution, of course]; and
    2. the absolute worst fear of any god-touting religion (particularly “christianity” and “islam/muslim”).

Reports like the above just prove my points — in spades. Religions are more concerned about demonizing homosexuality, sex and love in general and anything else that “conflicts” with their “teachings” than actually doing any good in the world. And that’s been proven time and again — and still going.

    1. I cannot help but wonder about the 26 billionairs who plan to buy the american presidency. How many of those are identified with the religous right and feel motivated (anointed) by God? Sounds like the Apostolic Reformation and the New Order aiming for a one world government that was briefly in the news earlier this year.

  2. “Gay hate crime in Nebraska capital draws ire from hundreds”

Don’t you just love religious-based stupidity? They seem to seriously think that they can go out and mame or kill “all the faggots” in their area or they listen to an equally stupid preacher from his pulpit: “Remove all homosexuals from your area.”

Yet, 2 “tiny pieces of actual facts” always prove them wrong (and stupid): For every “faggot they think” has been “removed,” every single day in the U.S. approximately as many as 3,700 new bi-sexual and homosexual babies are born — and guess what — They are born from “normal” heterosexual couples (married or not). [This is my calculation from U.S. births per day: http://www.census.gov/population/www/pop…

This is just as stupid as someone in the middle of Summer swatting and killing all the flies in their house and assuming that all the flies even within a radius of 10 miles from the are all dead.

Again, don’t you just love their stupid “logic”?

  3. Good to see team GB celebrating several massive ideas tonight in London: the works of Shakespeare, the Industrial Revolution, Votes for Women, the National Health Service, the World Wide Web, most sports, good music (of several different sorts), inclusivity and mad humour. Hardly politics, just common sense, and beautiful too.

  4. “Victim of Aurora shooting faces $2 million in medical bills”

Since that article was written, three of the five hospitals that victims of that shooting were taken to have said publicly that they’re waiving all fees for those patients if they’re uninsured and waiving the co-pays for those that are insured. While the gentleman the article is about wasn’t taken to one of those hospitals, likely that his medical bills will be far below that $2m since the other two hospitals are “safety net hospitals” that provides millions of dollars of free care for trauma victims that are uninsured every year.

Of course, that’s assuming that all the well meaning fund raising efforts for this man don’t make him ineligible for free services.

  5. Just like no one can actually ‘own’ PFLAG, no one can actually own the BSA. That being said, the Mormons bought all the physical holdings of the BSA, which actually in a nefarious way, is ownership. They have mandated that any boy or Scout leader found to be gay will immediately be stripped of all rank, badges & awards and asked to leave scouting forever.

There are at least three alternatives to the BSA for boys that celebrate diversity. Robert Baden-Powell himself was probably the most famous of all boylovers, but that was never questioned because of the greater good that scouting represented.

“Boy Scouts of America believes that homosexual conduct is inconsistent with the obligations in the Scout Oath and Scout Law to be morally straight and clean in thought, word, and deed. The conduct of youth members must be in compliance with the Scout Oath and Law, and membership in Boy Scouts of America is contingent upon the willingness to accept Scouting’s values and beliefs. Most boys join Scouting when they are 10 or 11 years old. As they continue in the program, all Scouts are expected to take leadership positions. In the unlikely event that an older boy were to hold himself out as homosexual, he would not be able to continue in a youth leadership position.”

  6. “Low condom use causes HIV spread in Catholic Philippines”

This mystifies me, mostly because when you hire a hooker here, his service fee is inclusive of condoms and lube. Also the government clinics give them out for free!
I mean honestly what else do we have to do, make rice flavored condoms?! The spread of HIV isn’t because of a lack of awareness, its probably just a lack of common sense >_____>

  7. 19yo kicked out of Boy Scouts after 10 years for being gay

I do not understand that someone throws out after 10 years, just because he is gay!
The really need to change your old rules!
It reminds me a little of the movie Philadelphia!
