BILLIONAIRE BROS: Relax. The Koch bros. are matched by Hollywood, Soros, Big Labor, etc. Democrats are also rolling in dough. The liberal press doesn’t like to cover the fact that many prominent Democrats in the White House and Congress also have offshore bank accounts, and shell out bazillions to their political pets. Is your vote determined by the TV ads you like the best or see the most? Mine isn’t. I would expect yours isn’t either. I could watch the ‘other’ side’s ads 24/7 and I’d still lvote for ‘my’ side. So, why do the candidates spend so much on advertising? Probably to lure the 5% of the electorate so stupid they can actually be influenced by ads. Chalk that up to the dumbing down of education by the NEA.
ICELAND: Good for them, for now anyway. Screwing bond holders may give socialists “wood,” but the next time Iceland needs a loan, or needs to issue bonds for this or that, don’t be surprised if the banks don’t return their calls. What goes around, comes around. “Financial Karma” can be a bitch.
GENE PATENTS: If the patented genes are different, and do not occur in nature, they are intellectual property and rightly protected. Don’t like it? Fine. Make your own genes.
ASSANGE: Sooner or later, here or there, POW. The CIA never forgets, or forgives. We’ll get the bastard one day.
PHONE TRACKING: The Court, in a rare lucid moment, is right on this one. If suspects don’t want their cellphone emissions tracked, let them use cell phones that don’t give off GPS signals. There’s probably a big untapped market for cell phones that don’t emit GPS signals, or for technicians who can disdable that feature. Want to start a new business? Necessity is the mother of invention.
