  1. Wish I lived in Maine. I’d vote for the World of Warcraft lady, even if she is a Democrat.

  2. I’m actually from Maine and it’s embarrasing that the only things our state’s politicians are fighting about is a woman who play’s WoW and the location and future of a mural painting that our bigmouth governor took from the Dept. of Labor (Google it). Right now even the most conservative Republicans and Tea Party followers are running as fast as they can away from Gov. LePage and his mouth. The man is a press secretary’s nightmare.

P.S.: The vote for gay marriage in Maine is back on the state ballot again this November. The original bill was drafted in 2009 and was passed by the Legislature and signed into law by our former governor. This was the first time in U.S. history that gay marriage had been passed by an act of congress and signed into law by a governor, instead of going through the court’s. Unfortunately, the bill was defeated in November 2009 by a people’s veto.

The issue is once again back on the ballot, only with this vote being in favor of gay marriage, rather than opposed to it. If it passes (that is if more than 50% vote “Yes” on Question 1), it will be the first time in world history that gay marriage has been passed by popular vote in a binding public referendum.

Any good wishes, prayers, karma, juju, etc. that could be sent our way would be appreciated. If you would like to make a donation, that can be done online at the Mainers United for Marriage website. Thanks!

  3. So I assume you will BE thrilled if Gov. Romney wins,eh? YYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  4. Going after someone for playing an online game shows the stupidity of republicans. The only issue with her online gaming would be the fact that she has TIME for online gaming. I’m not saying she should have no life, but online gaming can be a real time killer. It’s easy to get so into it you lose track of time.I know,as I played WoW before.

Uh… not really. I’m in a strange place. I think Obama needs to be removed from office tout de suite. However, I think Romney is a pure political being, changing his opinion and policy on a whim depending on the vagaries of whatever political wind is currently blowing. I watch too much Daily Show to be anything but disgusted by Romney. I’m a libertarian myself. Would have voted for Ron Paul. Another factor is that I’m no longer living in the US, so it just doesn’t affect me as much anymore. Plus, I’m an ex-con so I couldn’t vote anyway.

So Mr Romney is a pragmatist rather than a conviction politician. I would say that was a point in his favour: he is his own man rather than a prisoner of ideology.

You really don’t know what the fuck is going on politically. Quite frankly, America is better off with the fact you can’t vote if that’s the only way you can ‘think.’ And I, for one, am damn glad you won’t vote. You need to learn a whole lot more before you’re able to [ever] vote.

Another political idiot. There’s no such thing as a religious idiot that is “his own man.” They live and die as prisoners of that stupid religious ideology. And “pragmatist?” Hardly. He changes his mind/votes/ideology to who and what-ever is paying him to do so. He is only as good as and cares about the next money $pout.

What’s a “pragmatist” in your dictionary? Being for gay rights in Massachusetts but as soon as the church starts paying the bills, you’re totally against them? Starting a great public health system in Massachusetts and then as soon as the Republican$ starts putting out their Million$ to you, you’re against “Obamacare” and want to repeal it?

Politically, you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about. Do us all and America a favor — Don’t vote.

I think the boot is on the other foot. “Penboy” allows his religious prejudices to distort any political discourse.

‘Do us all and America a favor — Don’t vote.’

As a foreigner, I don’t much care about the forthcoming American president’s interior policies. I am however alarmed at Romney’s personal relationship with Netanyahu and fear that he would support Israel in an attack on Iran. If I had a vote, that would be sufficient reason for me to support Obama as the lesser evil.

          1. “I think the boot is on the other foot. “Penboy” allows his religious prejudices to distort any political discourse.”

You just proved how stupid (and most probably religious) you really are and how you proved me correct. I, at least, provided you with proof of my reasoning (which are all true — just look at any decent media site about their opinions of Romney/Ryan). But, you? Just like the stupid religious, you have only learned how to lie and deflect any truisms — like the religious taught you.

Oh, you’ll come back with some “quip” as you did above to “make us think” that you’re more “intelligent” — but that only works on religious lambs like you and others considerably less intelligent than you because they can’t see and understand the difference.

BTW, have you met Michael? I think you both would “hit it off” nicely together — you know, peas of a pod. And maybe you could teach him a thing or two — hopefully like spelling and [very] simple grammar.

            1. It completely eludes me how our resident fundamentalist atheist could read anything religious into what I wrote above. The problem is clearly on his side, not mine.

      2. That’s certainly one way to look at it I suppose. Another would be that he has no ideology or thoughts or cares for others so long as he can get the power he’s after, and he’s willing to do or say whatever will accomplish that goal.

You really don’t know what the fuck is going on politically. Quite frankly, America is better off with the fact you can’t vote if that’s the only way you can ‘think.’ .

To begin with, a single paragraph isn’t the ‘only’ way I think and to state that is patently ridiculous.

Further, you’ve got me confused. We both said nearly the same thing about Romney, so you can’t be pissed about that (unless you’re a bit unstable, which I’m beginning to suspect) so it must be the part where I said I wanted Obama out of office? So that’s why I don’t know what the fuck is going on politically? Quite a conclusion from a single statement. I don’t recall saying that the US political system is secretly run by elves who live in the Rose Garden.

  7. @Penboy,the self-righteous atheist. If in the future you make your ridiculing remarks, please keep my name out of it. It seems that you have to make your atheist views available on almost all of your hate comments. It’s funny that atheist like you keep trying to bend your way into a persons right to have a faith they believe in. I don’t much care if you believe in no God, or what. I’am not trying to convert you, because I don’t care if you use your right or left hand to piss with. It’s none of my concern. Now as for my spelling, I recall a few months ago you mention that you had no control over your spell checker, that they worked on there own. Was that a slip of the tongue or just more of your BS. As for Asiffeta. you would think that you could show a little respect for the lad across the ocean. I do disagree with his views on the Israel scene. Next to Great Britain, Israel is a great ally of America. I would not want Israel blown off the face of the earth. It seems that this Obama ran on a moderate platform in 2008, and when elected he went way over to the left. His first two years in office he had a Democrate run House and Senate. What got done. Nothing. No budget has been past since he’s been in office. We had a terrorist attack on an American consulate and four Americans killed, and Obama and his crew blames this on a 15 minute that came out in June or July and who do you know saw it. I do agree with Wolfboi: I do suspect also that your a bit unstable,or just an kooky atheist.
