Australia: Gay kids bullied by teachers as well as students says new study
Christian group campaigns against program to stop bullying of gay kids
Honestly I’m stunned that no one has replied in this latest news thread. Maybe Josh is extremely busy and didn’t have time to approve replies? I hope that is so because it would mean people just don’t give a damn anymore. That’s partially why I decided to break my word about not posting anymore. I was dead serious when I said I was disgusted because of some people having the balls to accuse kids that committed suicide of selfishness and not wanting to have to deal with such people. I do have my standards I guess.
Anyway, the other reason was those two news articles but also a CNN special (The Bully Effect) that aired yesterday about the making of a movie called “Bully”. Two of the people in that special were the parent of a 10 year old boy that committed suicide. The parents did all they could to help their kid but the school did nothing. I suspect that if anyone dared to call their kid selfish that that person would end up very fast in the closest intensive care unit with all bones broken and major organ damage. Maybe those that accuse kids of being selfish should go ask the parents of those kids and see what they think of that accusation.
Noticed the second news article? Christians being their fucken bastard selves again. Yesssssssss, lets keep on bullying in the name of the lord. No wonder even Michael was able to call those dead kids selfish.
Guess what. I won’t stay silent anymore. So, when I read something that I feel is beyond the pale I will voice my opinion and will not temper my opinion. Tuff.
The “Bully Effect” will air again on CNN Monday at 5pm and 8pm.

@Old Dan: Tell me when I said that children that commit suicide where selfish. I never thought that anyone who ciommitted suicide was at all selfish. Hell, selfish doesn’t even fit in with suicide. When one takes his/her life it is because they just can’t take all the extreme state of life that seeems to be engulfing their own world. It comes to a point where one’s mind just can’t handle the pain any longer. When people come to this extreme that is when they need someones help. That statenment you said that,no wonder even Michaelwas able to call those daed kids selfish is a flat out bull-shit. If that is under my name that is also false.

Short memory I see. Here is your post I’m referring to.

@Seb and tim. Your comments make so much sense, because putting these suicides in a glorious but sad picture does not help at all. Now the mother feels she should have done more. The girlfriend most likely feels that she didn’t do more then she did. I didn’t see where he had a daughter, but if so then he just gave up on her. It’s sad when a young person who has so much to live for just calls quits on life. May Anthony rest in peace.
You agreed with Seb and Tim, both saying he was selfish. Also, we never “just call it quit.” I used “we” because I went through the same pain he went through. I’m a survivor. What are you, or Seb or Tim? Now instead of saying stupid things try to catch that CNN special. It just might make you understand what kids go through. By the way, in it there is a kid that is fighting back in a big way. Still, he is one of the lucky ones having someone to lean on.

@Old Dan: Please don’t put words in my mouth . I didn’t say any thing about that lad being selfish. If Seb and Tim said that , then thats on them. I said it then and I’ll say it now ,It’s sad when a young person has so much to live for and they find it better to just call it quits on life. A person whether young or old who dedecides to commit suicide I feel is calling quits on life it’s self. I have not a clue what Seb or Tim are and most likely it’s non of my business, as for me I have survived a good number of years with all kinds of heart wrenching problems that I don’t care to go into at this point. I had a loving family that has since past away. I’am on my own with some good friends and a belief in God. Every one needs someone or something to lean on in life at one time or the other. I made the comment on the girlfriends feelings and if there was a baby or not. I can’t stand CNN either. You must be one of the 12 viewers they have. What I can’t seem to get is why you picked my name out of the two who talked about the lad being selfish. If you wish to criticize me for my words, just make sure they are my words.
