[Boys on boys on screen] – Dominik & Aleks (Suicide Room)
As cute as the lead actor is, I didn’t see the film because the plot just sounds… meh. Or is it just me?
Dominik is an ordinary boy. He’s got loads of friends, the hottest girl in school, rich parents and money to spend on brand-name clothes. But one innocent kiss with a mate changes everything. He begins to isolate himself from the outside world, spending all his time on his computer. He meets an anonymous girl who introduces him to the "suicide room", a place from which there is no escape. Caught in a trap woven of his own emotions, he becomes entangled in a web of intrigue and gradually loses what he cherishes most.
I know that in this paranoid world, you never approach a small child who is by herself, take her by the hand and walk out of a store with her in search of mommy. But I am not 14 years old. I am not Edwin. Last week, Edwin went to the Burlington Coat Factory store on West Colonial Drive with his mother. He saw a 3-year-old girl without a parent. If he had it to do all over again, if he could see the cops, the handcuffs, the TV cameras and the jail cell all awaiting him, I imagine the last thing he would have done was try to help her. But he did.
…when fags where burnt on stakes (just try to ignore the fact that they never were burnt, at least not for being gay. Otherwise there would be no Catholic church nowadays seeing how they are the biggest gay club we have ever)
