That Boy is quite the Pitcher
Breaking Boy News reports:
A Japanese schoolboy has put worldwide baseball scouts on alert after throwing a pitch clocked at 160kph (100 mph) in a regional high school tournament. “It felt good to throw my favorite fastball like that,” Shohei Otani, 18, told Japanese media. By comparison, the hardest throwers in Major League Baseball pitch as fast as 170kph. But Otani’s throwing arm has not yet fully developed. “That was the speed I promised the coach I would throw so I’m glad to have clocked that figure,” he said.
What’s with the hand on the butt at 0:25? After seeing that and the lads from the Japanese national football team (below) one could wonder if that’s a thing in Japan’s world of sports

I totally agree with you, especially when it comes to sports. Patting or smacking someone in the butt, as far as I know, has always been done as a way to congratulate a player. I read it’s because the most important part of any athlete’s body is the butt, because that’s where the majority of your power comes from. As far as the gif goes, it could also be a simple game the team plays. It could be concieved as being a way to build team unity. I see it as being completely innocent though.

Indeed. For some reason there is a lot of butt patting happening in sports. You see it a lot in American football, for example. Now for the pun that the post name started but nobody finished.
