Trap Thursday *24

Last week’s Trap Thursday was admittedly pretty easy, especially since Lewis revealed his gender in the comments of said post (he joined the milkboard since then by the way). This week’s trap is a picture by Dutch photographer Annie van Gemert. More of her traps can be found here.

Before they reach puberty, some boys and girls can appear androgynous. The photographer took portraits of young people between the ages of six and 18 over a period of five years, with the aim of challenging viewers’ perceptions of gender definitions.

Strawberry Weed Muffins

I’m sure many of you remember about this impressive piece of porn art that is still the best video I have ever seen on XTube. Now a thread in the milkboard and a conversation with Dutch artist and wonder boy heartkore have revealed that ludicolo, who goes by the name of Markus Bollingmo in real life, is obviously not only an artist of lust but also a very talented photographer. He’s from Norway and lives in Paris at the moment.

Jock Sturges

Via Skyclad Scribble

Jock Sturges has long been a lightning rod for controversy for his distinctive brand of nude photography. Sturges shoots much of his work around nudist beaches in France and northern California, and his most frequent subjects have been adolescent girls. The photos have an undeniably erotic quality, unlike some types of nude photography that treat the human body more as abstract form. However, Sturges aims to draw out the models’ own sense of burgeoning sexuality in a straightforward, personal, non-voyeuristic way. Sturges uses a large-format camera to create extremely detailed, finegrained images, while his strong feel for sunlight bathes his models and settings with a shimmering quality. In his writings, Sturges prides himself on the bonds of trust, friendship and collaboration between the photographer, the models and their families. Many of his photographs depict several generations naked together.

If you ever have the chance to learn a new language… use it! You might think you’ll be fine with your own language but believe me, there are wonderful, amazing things waiting for you to be discovered. Things which will never get translated into your language. French poetry, German music, Swedish films or Slovenian fagzines ;) You got your life to explore the world around you and a part of it is to discover how different things can be expressed in other languages than your own. Learning a language is something you will never regret, trust me.
