Ugh, I totally agree!! On one hand I can see the whole 60′s artsy thing reminiscent of Andy Warhol, but I was never much a fan of Andy Warhol’s “films”, if that’s what one calls them. I love Edie Sedgwick, but for the love of god, in half of Andy’s films it was exactly like this one. The whole out of focus, show face, show body, cut back to the face and the whole concept of idolizing expressions forever.
There’s some forms of art that are deep, and then there is the kind easily digested by the populace who are in search of something deep, and so this would probably appeal. You don’t have to think too much, and so to real artists, this sort of thing is bothersome.
The boy is cute as hell though. I just can’t stand the style. To me, it just reeks of pretension and conceit.

The top/shirt looks like its made out of some kind of vinylly sorta plastic… I wonder if they’ll ever have transparent, woven fabric that has the feel and behavior of cotton fabric, and breaths like regular, woven fabric.

I guess that’s the emo pout and he probably works very hard to achieve that look. Kind of a throw back to the late 60′s. Now that I live in Eugene I see a lot of this which is a refreshing change from the shaved head “mean mug” look of the kids in California.
