Before we dig into the last Periodical Political Post of the year I’d like to note something about the comments regarding the article about cross dressing in Qatar. I guess it was inevitable that some would use the chance to bash Islam over it but as much as I despise all the big religions and More >

He ia actually a cute/good looking boy. It is too bad there were no subtitles but his shyness, pain, and angst was obvious and fairly easy to follow. Talk about a schoolboy crush! I t seemed like, in the end, that he undressed and got close to her to sort of take responsibility for the situation to ease her pain of the obvious rape those two older pricks did to her. It was kinda moving.

that was sweet :) and the boy is absolutely gorgeous, his eyes mesmerizes me :P he looked especially cute in the ending scene, LOL good lighting does make a diff ^__^ i wonder what would happen if the girl got pregnant… would he still take responsibility for it?

The boy reminds me to the young Wil Wheaton in “Stand by me” – really cute.
The topic of time rape was here before (AFAIR), but never so touching.

A sobering flick. The decision made near the end by him seemed borderline instinct, but impressive and heartfelt all the same. I like how responsibility, not sex, turned the boy toward adulthood.
Don’t roll when their are ugly men around.

What is meant by “roll” in your statement? I’m not aware of that particular meaning of “roll”.

Maybe rolling a joint? – Just guessing.

Beautiful & bittersweet vid, no need for subtitles, emotions, pain are pretty palpable.
Cleankut is right, don’t roll when there are nasty predators around.

I admit I had not seen this. it’s pretty good. :)
I know the neighborhood its filmed in and all,and it is a good description of some groups in Iceland…
if you want to know more of the subtitles, ask away, but they are fairly explanatory… shooting the breeze… “man talk to her…” …. :)

Thank you so much! I was looking for that short film some time ago but didn’t find it. Some friends had seen it during a short film festival (bei den Dresdner Filmnächten) and made my hungry for it.

Hi, I really love the short films you’ve been posting on the blog lately. They are all so thoughtful and have amazing cinematography. Nothing like them is made outside Europe I think. I would like to download them but I dont know what is the 7z or z file types you are using or how or what I need to view them on the computer. Can you please give instructions how to view them so I can enjoy them again? Thanks

Download 7-Zip from the following site:
http://www.7-zip.org/
Install it and then you can extract the files using the 7-Zip file Manager.

You can extract 7-zip files with pretty much every archiver e.g. 7-zip (http://bit.ly/cBRPnj), WinRAR (http://bit.ly/baErg2) or WinZIP (http://bit.ly/d0DgNM).

I disagree with the use of words like “innocence” and “adulthood” as having opposed meanings.
In truth adulthood is not less innocent than childhood and childhood is not less “malicious” than adulthood.
Innocence is a dehumanizing myth, humans are too interesting, lively and full of desire and emotions to be innocent, at whetever age.

I need help again lol
I got VLC to work for this movie but then I tried to download 1 from the board and it was a RAR. I couldn’t get 7zip to extract the RAR it kept asking me for a password or saying insert disc with the movie file on it but i didnt save it to a disc. I downloaded winzip coz i found on google that it can do RARs but that did the same thing asking for a pw or saying insert disc. How the hell do I get these things to work? lol thanks

Looks like it was filmed in the barracks on the old US military base in Keflavik. I spent a couple of years there. The buildings at the beginning of the scene looked too familiar.

It’s actually not, it’s in Breiðholt :) but the houses look similar.

Hi :-) Thanks for all the help with downloading and viewing videos. I found a version with subtitles. At the end, when he takes off his clothes and gets in to be with her, she wakes up and says “was I good?” he nods and then she says “I’m glad it was with you”. I won’t say why, in case people haven’t watched it yet, but knowing what they say at the end makes it quite sweet.
