How do you define beauty?

I think many will say he’s just a plain looker. But there’s something indefinable there that makes him stand out. It’s a good photo of a really good looking kid. Proud parents I’m sure.

So what makes ‘Stage Presence’ work too?

  I think what you are alluding to is his insecurity in his posture. It is affecting. It humbles us and draws our hearts near.
  As you said the boy is somewhat plain. This is true. We are, however, drawn to him because of his soft insecurity and caution.

  Want to be seen with him? That could be the question. He does wear pink and even if he isn’t or weren’t gay people would usually say that pink is only for girls. Then I could go on about all the stupid stereotypes about the tshirt and even his hair do or that he simply “looks” girly”. All about perception.

  Denial of sex and sexualising so many aspects of normal life is definitely a trait of fundamental Abrahamic religion. As well as sleazy puke making media. Perhaps both have commonalities pandering to or exploiting base desires and engendering fear.

    This same response could just as easily be for “In what universe do boys where briefs like that in this day and age?” if the photo showed some small[-ish] briefs/bikini type of underwear or swimwear (and in many places around the world, underwear is their ‘swimwear’). And not so much because of the “religious wankers” (great description!) but those who appear to be ‘afraid’ of showing any bulge or outline.

2 things

1st, and this relates to the cookie cooking little guy in the post before too, stereotypes are stupid. I do a lot of things that most people would think of as “un-gay”, such as play team contact sports like football, but I’m bi. My little cousin who is 2 his favourite colour is pink. 2 year olds can’t “know” if they’re gay, so him loving pink has nothing to do with that, he just likes it.

2nd, in Australia heaps of guys wear pink shorts. You’re probably more likely to get called gay if you DON’T wear pink shorts.

Thing about pink and blue is… it is purely arbitrary that pink = girl and blue = boy, in fact at one point it was the opposite, pink = boy and blue = girl, but they deliberately placed baby boys in blue and baby girls in pink to confuse the evil spirits that preyed on little children…. or something like that, my memory of it is hazy. But before that came along, if I recall the story correctly, the colors pink and blue weren’t even thought of as gender-related, that that is a fairly recent addition in the history of Mankind. Like, in the last couple of centuries.

(I might be wrong about that, though. I saw it mentioned in passing once, years ago…)

And by the look of things, we may well be moving away from pink = girl and blue = boy when it comes to clothing colors.
